If you're reading this right now, you probably already know that we, at Soma, are on a mission to make beautiful, sustainable products for everyday use. This wasn't forgotten in the creation of our newest edition to the Soma family, The Ceramic Mug.
We chose ceramic for a number of reasons, most notably, that it's sustainable. Ceramic breaks down completely in nature and can be down-cycled to create other ceramics. As long as the glazes are non-toxic (ours are non-toxic), ceramic is a great, durable material that also acts to insulate beverages.
The Soma Ceramic Mug is double-walled so it acts to insulate your drinks even more. These beauties keep hot drinks warm for over an hour, so if you like to take your time and enjoy your coffee (or tea!) we've got you covered.
We also chose color blocked glazes on mugs to make them as beautiful as they are practical. The glaze also keeps the mugs from staining, so you can go ahead and have that turmeric latte you've been too afraid to drink out of your white mugs. You don't have to choose between form and function and you can feel good about making a sustainable choice in your drink ware.
P.S., these pretty mugs aren't just great for hot drinks. We use them for kombucha and other chilled beverages, too, since they keep drinks cooler longer.
